Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town.

December 7th, 2011 apcook15

Hey guys!

So coming down the home stretch here, I’m literally astounded at how fast this semester flew by. As hard as it is to believe, I’m already an 1/8 of the way through college, and things are only supposed to pick up from here. Cue the “Glory Days” reference, compliments of the Boss himself.

Speaking of Bruce, the Jersey rocker’s “Merry Christmas Baby” and “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” have been making frequent appearances on the iPod playlists lately; turns out preparing for exams is made infinitely better with Christmas tunes in the ear-buds. Yes, there’s a Christmas-tree shaped light at the end of the exam tunnel, one that’s almost positively sustaining every person on campus right now. The campus has gone above and beyond the season’s call for decoration; Kimball dining room is holiday central (think Hogwarts at Christmastime), and there’s a full-out nativity scene in front of O’Kane, complete with a wooden manger.

It’s not quite home for the holidays, but it does a darn-close job, and is more than enough to preserve students through the horror that is exam week. Here’s hoping you’re all enjoying the build-up to Christmas, and I’ll see you all on the other side of exams (God-willing I retain my higher brain functions at that time) !!!
